BisMan Big Band- I am fortunate to play drum set with this group performing classic big band repertoire, latin jazz, and modern arrangements.
Varying Degrees Trio- I joined this percussion trio in 2017 alongside Kenyon Williams and Tom Christianson. We perform a diverse repertoire of contemporary percussion literature, theatrical works, jazz, and world music.
Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra- Principal Percussionist since 2013.
Lucas Bernier Jazztet- This group ranges from 2-6 players varying in instrumentation. The ensemble plays original tunes and standards. This ensemble is available for private events, weddings, concerts, etc. Contact by email at [email protected] for booking and more information.
Steel Pan Quintet- Formed in 2013, this group plays a varied repertoire staying firmly rooted between Trinidadian calypso/soca and jazz along with some American pop. Collaborator- I am fortunate to have performed in duo and chamber music settings with Scott Sandberg, Matt Prindiville, Anthony Williams, Russ Ballenger, the Dan Moore Percussion Group, and the Robert Moran Ensemble to name a few. Nothing truly compares to making great music with wonderful friends.
The Gospel According to Jazz- A jazz group featuring Fr. Bill Ruelle (bass), Fr. Nick Schneider (guitar), Niki Bernier (vocals) and Lucas Bernier (drums/vibes).
Private Teaching Studio- Dr. Bernier reserves a limited number of openings for students of all ages and ability levels in addition to the percussion studio at the University of Mary. Lessons are available for snare drum, marimba, drum set, jazz vibes, multi-percussion, Trinidadian steel pan, timpani, concert percussion, and hand drumming.
